As an EASAP author, you will likely be an expert in using certain software applications. Additionally, you likely have learned to use a number of software user interfaces and can recognize a good interface when you see one, and also the not-so-good ones. However, you might not have previously designed and developed a user interface yourself.
This page will provide an introduction to some user interface design principles that hopefully will help you in the design and development of your EASAPs. The material in the following paragraphs are intended to provide a brief overview of good user interface design principles and practices. The Further Reading section offers some titles of complete books on the subject.
