COMPUTE

COMPUTE evaluates an expression and returns the resulting value.

Two common uses for COMPUTE:

  • Return a value from a mathematical calculation involving other objects.
  • Store a logical expression for repeated use in Show if: or Enable if: parameters.
COMPUTE
Essential Parameters:
Value:Expression using SCALAR object references, literal numbers and operators. See
Optional Parameters:
Type:Type of number computed (default→Real, Integer)
Unit Group:Associates value with an existing DIMENSIONAL GROUP

If the Value: of a COMPUTE is set to be equal to a text-type object, the EASAP behavior is unspecified. Avoid setting Value: to a CHOICE LIST or TEXTBOX, etc…
