DIMENSIONAL GROUP

Guide Section: UNITS | EASAP Tree: UNIT MANAGER

A DIMENSIONAL GROUP represents a specific type of measurement, and it is used to define the unit of measure derived from the BASE UNITS

• EASAP→USER INTERFACE→UNIT MANAGER→BASE UNITS

For instance, an example of a DIMENSIONAL GROUP is ‘Velocity’, and its unit of measure can be derived from particular BASE UNITS entered into the equation 'Length' divided by 'Time' (m/s or meters/second).

You can examine the existing DIMENSIONAL GROUP's under the DEFAULT UNITS sub-branch for examples of its use.
