A default EASA installation includes a Local Compute Server and if on a Windows installation with Excel, a Local Excel Server. Thus it is possible to complete the EASA authoring tutorials before configuring compute servers for your environment.
As explained at EASA System Components, an important component of the EASA system is a Compute Server, accessible via communications with the EASA Server. A Compute Server must be configured and tested to link with the EASA Server.
