Session 8: Test and Publish the EASAP

Estimated completion time → 10 minutes.

In this final practical session, we use Authoring tools to Test the EASAP before we Publish it.

A version of an EASAP that is under development may be Tested and validated prior to release to a User.

Once a quality assurance process is complete the EASAP is ready for release and may be Pulished with a single click.

Let's begin Testing our EASAP.

  • Set EASA→Set Mode→Author
  • Check EASA→Applications→My EASAPs to see that the “Currently selected EASAP:” is our Stock Screener
  • On EASA→Authoring→Testing
    • Select Test EASAP

The following window will appear,

  • Select ‘NASDAQ’ for the Exchange, and then select ‘Technology’ for the Sector.
  • Click the Search Stock Data button to view your results in the table.

The table should look like the following,

  • Click the Create Report button to generate your report.
    • → A window will appear with the message “EASAP submitted successfully”.
      • Click OK
  • Reload the EASA→Authoring→Testing page in the browser
    • → We see a new row in the table of Test Results

  • Click on the View Results button ( ) in the Output column for the recent test run.
    • → The following will appear in the browser window,

If the test run does not proceed as illustrated above or the report does not look like the one above and you are unable to determine the cause of the problem, then contact your instructor or EASA support representative. At this point, we may need to go back to the Builder and make changes to the EASAP to fix any problems that surface.

If the test run was successful, then your EASAP will now be ready for publishing.

  • Go to EASA→Authoring→Publish in the browser.
  • Add a relevant comment in the input area provided
  • Click on the Publish button.
    • → A new window states The EASAP has been successfully published.
  • Let's check whether the EASAP will be visible to a User on the EASA system.
  • Select EASA→Set Mode→User
  • Click on the EASA→Applications tab
  • Select ‘Training’ as the Category.
  • Our EASAP will now be visible in the Applications table
    • → We may run the EASAP, modify some inputs and then submit it to run as a User
    • Click the EASA→Results→My Results tab to see User results
    • We may now logout of the EASA Server.

This EASAP is ready for a User, simply share a link to the EASA Server login page.
