DIMENSIONAL GROUP

Guide Section: UNITS | EASAP Tree: USER INTERFACE UNIT MANAGERUSER UNITS

A DIMENSIONAL GROUP represents a specific type of measurement, it defines a unit of measure derived in BASE UNITS

For instance, an example of a DIMENSIONAL GROUP is ‘Velocity’, and its unit of measure can be derived from particular BASE UNITS entered into the equation 'Length' divided by 'Time' (m/s or meters/second).

An Author may examine the many existing DIMENSIONAL GROUP's under the DEFAULT UNITS sub-branch

A Child CONVERSION specifies the mathematical relationship between two USER UNITS.
